About Us

North Star Collective Community Center is “just that” - a community center. The mission is two-fold. Our first goal is to encourage people in our community to “follow their light and find their space” within our walls. The second is to provide rental space (including tables and chairs) for adults and children to gather, celebrate, and connect.

The business owners who rent in our building as well as the members of our community, young and old, will benefit from the activities and available space we provide. The natural outdoor park setting will enhance the possibilities of incorporating nature into expansive potential of growth and creativity of renters. To name a few, some ideas of the prospective use of our rooms include children’s birthday parties, small quinceañera celebrations, wedding and baby shower rentals, exercise classes, yoga, and a general meeting space.

Suzanne Starble

For 42 years, Share & Care Learning Center was my world—a place filled with tiny footsteps, big ideas, and the joy of watching children grow. Our journey began at the old North Aurora Activity Center, a lively spot that brought people together. When it closed, I felt the loss of what it meant to the community.

So when the old library became available, the nostalgia felt like a sign. Its history, charm, and sense of possibility reminded me of what shared spaces can inspire. That spark is what led me to create North Star.

My goal is simple: to offer an inviting, affordable place where people can gather, explore ideas, and grow. I want entrepreneurs to feel empowered to start something new without needing a huge investment—just a spark of inspiration and a supportive environment. Creating a space where people can follow their light feels like a natural next chapter for me, and I’m excited to share it with the community.
